After I came back from a reunion party in Las Vegas, Nevada, I realized that I had spent so much, or should I say, I lost so much money during a night of fun with my close friends at one of the largest casinos in the city. When I reached my apartment in Glendale, my landlord was already waiting for me. How could I have spent everything when I owed my landlord 3 months of rent? For the nth time, I asked him to give me more time, but he was firm in saying NO because he also needed money for his son’s tuition fee. He gave me one week to pay my 3 months rent.

If I had only won in Nevada, I wouldn’t have had any problem with my landlord! But I didn’t! So, I had to find a way to get the money I needed to pay my landlord. I was confused; I didn’t know where to start my search because all I could think of was an image of me wandering the streets looking for a place to sleep. I couldn’t do anything so I just turned on the TV, without anything particular to watch. One program caught my attention. It was nothing special actually. It was only an interview with an old woman testifying how a certain auto title loan company helped her.
